User Review: Gerber Firecracker

Rating: rated 4 of 5 stars
Price Paid: ~$20

Main use: backpacking

Pros:
- Plenty bright for picking trails, tight central spot with enough side spill to be useful.
- turns on with end cap twist - avoids accidental turn on while in pack
- O-ring seal
- Single AA battery - economical and good life
- Rugged metal body
- moderately light weight
- accepts a lanyard
- compact, fits a Maglight style head strap for hands-free use

Cons: Nothing serious. Dark finish is hard to spot, add some bright tape or stickers.

Overall: Excellent backpacking light and because it fits so easily in a pocket I find I hardly use anything else around the house, for night walks, etc.
