Summary

It's easy to use on the trail. Simply attach it facing the sun. I was able to charge my iPhone with no problems. I normally charge the Guide 10 powerpack at home and then recharge it as I hike.

Pros

  • Easy to tie it to backpack, or harness for catching the sun.
  • Lightweight

Cons

  • Should have a longer cord for the Guide 10 powe pack.

I took it to Big Bend National Park and was able to attach the solar panel to my day pack and move it around as I changed hiking directions for optimal charging from the sun. When I stopped for lunch I laid the solar panel in the sun. It fully charged in about 4 hours and then I plugged it to my iPhone and it fully charged it in about 1 1/2 hours.
