This shoe feels great and looks great. It has one of the most aggressive treads I have seen. It looked to be a great mudder...
However, the giant lugs fell apart...
I ran the 7 Sisters in Amherst, MA, in them twice with a few 4-5 mile training runs on fairly easy terrain. I noticed some de-laminating after 12 miles, I thought it minor...
After the above mileage, I noticed the once wonderful lugs coming apart in layers and one of the heals lifting...
I am a one time Ultra Runner looking to do long distance again and these shoes just do not cut it. Perhaps I got a bad pair lamination wise...
Other bad points are they track up 3/4 inch wide sticks with the aggressive tread. more than once they lodge nicely between the legs. You have all had this happen once or twice, no one needs it to happen often...
Wet roots, wet rocks, anything slick feels like grease beneath my feet... I am a big guy, maybe these would be good for a very light runner, I don't know... I returned them. I have Salomon XA Pro 3D ULTRA. I have a better feeling. We shall see...
