Dutchware ARGON Vented Sock

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Great way to block the wind and retain heat in your hammock. The Dutchware ARGON Vented Sock (Winter) is a great way to block wind and retain warmth in your hammock. It's also good for protecting your underquilt, and to catch an overquilt or whatever that may fall out of your hammock in the middle of the night. I now leave my underquilt attached to my hammock, close the sock over them both when I'm packing up, and stuff all in the bottom of my pack. It makes setup and take-down fast and easy. I've… Full review

Dutchware Kevlar Tree Huggers

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Very lightweight, strong tree straps for your hammock. These hammock tree straps are made by the folks at Dutchware and are just the thing if you are looking to lighten your hammock setup. These 1-inch wide straps will protect the tender bark of trees and hold you in style above the ground, as long as you weigh less than 2,000 lbs, according to the manufacturer of Kevlar. The beauty of this product is its low weight, a pair of 7 feet straps weighs 1.8 ounces. The same style and dimensions in a pair… Full review

Eagles Nest Outfitters Helios Suspension System

rated 4.5 of 5 stars ENO's Helios Suspension System is a new take on the time-tested combination of tree straps and whoopie slings. Designed to be paired with hammocks using carabiners—like ENO, GrandTrunk, and Thermarest—the Helios does what it does quite well. It makes hammock hanging simple, and it does it at under 5 ounces. While it would be easy for me to say this suspension system is best for new hammock hangers, I believe even experienced hangers will find it worth taking a look at. The Helios Suspension… Full review

Grand Trunk Trunk Straps

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Grand Trunk's “Trunk Straps” are a well-made, convenient suspension system for front country hammock hanging. It eliminates the need to know hammock knots or the need to buy other suspension systems that come with a learning curve. The straps are best for hammocks relying on carabiners for hanging. I definitely feel the pros outweigh the cons for car camping applications. First, a word on tree straps: My first hammock came with two lengths of 6mm prusik cord to hang the hammock with. I didn't… Full review

Hummingbird Hammocks Tree Straps

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Ultralight hammock suspension system for the weight conscious backpacker. I had been looking into ultralight hammocks and ran across Hummingbird Hammocks who manufactures a series of ultralight hammocks designed by an FAA certified parachute rigger. Being the cheapskate hammock-camping skeptic that I am, I purchased Hummingbird Hammocks Tree Strap system for use with an inexpensive hammock I purchased to give hammocks a try. Regretfully, I can't review their hammocks however they do appear to be… Full review

Eagles Nest Outfitters SlapStrap

rated 3 of 5 stars The SlapStraps are ENO's most basic suspension system. They work fine but lack versatility — a much desired characteristic in the backcountry when scoping out anchor points for a hammock. I recently reviewed my ENO DoubleNest and thought it would be appropriate to include a review of the suspension system I use with said hammock. The ENO SlapStraps are an ENO manufactured accessory that works with any of their hammocks. These are only one of various suspension systems ENO manufactures for their… Full review

Eagles Nest Outfitters SlapStrap Pro

rated 3 of 5 stars They work well. Just probably better for someone smaller. These straps seem to work well. But I am a fairly large person. These straps will stretch an amazing amount overnight. Nothing like waking up in the am on the ground. I was given a set of Atlas straps for Father's Day and if you're a good size person pass these by and go ahead and get the Atlas. Full review

Eagles Nest Outfitters Atlas Hammock Suspension System

rated 5 of 5 stars Much better than the Pro straps and super convenient. I'm a fairly large person at over 6 feet and nearly 275 lbs. These straps sag much less than the SlapStrap Pros. The trouble I had with the Pro straps is that no matter how taut I had them, when I woke up in the morning I was either on the ground or near it. These don't give much at all. They are very beefy straps and very easy to use. You'll be much better off to go ahead and spend the extra money for these as opposed to purchasing the SlapStraps… Full review

Eagles Nest Outfitters Atlas Hammock Suspension System

rated 5 of 5 stars Very easy to set up. The pouch is very convienent and makes the straps super portable. Many loops for easy adjustment. I got my first hammock a month or two ago and I loved it. At first I struggled with suspension then I built my own straps that worked fairly well. I had to tie a slip knot every time though and they were made of heavy polypropelene webbing. I ditched my Chinese hammock and bought a nice ENO SingleNest and these Atlas straps. They are sweet but slip down trees sometimes, Not a often… Full review
