HH, what's the deal? Making non-functional ski pants???

HH, what's the deal? Making non-functional ski pants???

Sadly you CANNOT wear this one in the steep and deep. The cuff is far too small diameter to fit (stretch) over normal ski boots. Yep, I bought a pair for use in warmer spring conditions and they simply won't make it over the boots.

So, it's off to the tailor shop to get zippers cut in an lycra to make them work. Glad I bought them on sale, but still for +$138, not worth it unless you plan to sink in another $30 for tailoring.

I love the fabric and fit, but until modified they are rep-ski or after ski pants. :(

Here's what other sites are saying:

The Helly Hansen Women's Verglas Softshell ain't no groomed-trail ski pant. Sure, you can wear it during your cross-country workouts, but you can wear it in the steep, deep, fun stuff, too. The Verglas Pants offer the breathability and stretch you expect from softshell material, so you can count on serious comfort while you rip, and its 15K-rated waterproofing and water-resistant zips devour powder days and off-piste trips. When the weather takes a turn for the warmer, outer leg vents serve up a side of fresh, cool air. Waistband adjustment lets you fine-tune the fit of these alpine-savvy softshell pants.
