Pendleton Board Shirt

rated 5 of 5 stars Never forget that wool will never fail as an insulation layer. After hiking hard all day, put on a wool shirt to combat chill. I find after backpacking all day, a Pendleton shirt is a better layer than fleece at sundown in the mountains. Great selection of sizes and colors. Thousands of surfers after being chilled in the Pacific, throw on a T-shirt and a Pendleton and feel instant warmth. Breathes, warm when damp, and you don't look like a gear head geek. Full review

RailRiders Men's Adventure Top

rated 5 of 5 stars Best fishing shirt on the market. Can't wait to hike in it. Recommended for any activity that calls for a breathable, lightweight top. Breathability is unrivaled. Never worn anything like it. Simplicity of this shirt is great. Love the pullover — less buttons, more performance, and a pocket just in case.  Very well made. I put it through the ringer and it came out unscathed.  Best choice for me while I was saltwater fly-fishing in Mexico on the Pacific Coast. Hiking in it should be awesome. Full review

Columbia Windward II Overshirt

rated 5 of 5 stars I bought this shirt two years ago and I wear it constantly in the fall and winter. It can be a mid-layer or work as a jacket. It has a fleece(like) lining which is extremely comfortable. Plus you can't beat flannel. See the summary above. I just think it's really comfortable and it gets the job done (keeping me warm). RailRiders Men's Adventure Top

rated 5 of 5 stars Lightest, best breathing hiking shirt. A must for long adventures. Here is a quick bullet point summarization of why I love this shirt so this doesn't get too long: Ultra lightweight and thin. You can wear these on a 100-degree day and you'd be much cooler than if you were wearing a cotton T-Shirt. Underarm and back vents make this thing like wearing air. Plus, then you don't have to coat yourself in sunscreen which is nice on longer treks. They dry in 5-10 minutes and will stay dry unless your… Full review

ExOfficio Men's Dryfly Flex Shirt

rated 4.5 of 5 stars When the sun is shining bright, this shirt shines even brighter. With its mesh-lined vertical back vents, UPF 30 and quick-drying and moisture wicking properties, this shirt has saved me from getting scorched and overheating during the dog days of summer. Conditions: This shirt was originally purchased for my wedding, in which I wore it with my REI Adventures pants and my Chaco Z/1 Unaweep sandals. It was an outdoor wedding (no shade during the ceremony) in the heat and humidity of mid-August, so… Full review

The North Face Short-Sleeve Pine Knot Woven

rated 4 of 5 stars A comfortable, lightweight shirt with a collar that does what a collar is meant to do. Fit/Comfort: I didn't do a bunch of research before purchasing this shirt. I simply saw it, tried it on, and really liked it. I knew something was different in terms of the fit of this shirt than others I owned, but I couldn't put my finger on it. After getting home, I looked online and realized it has what they call, "rotated shoulder seams," which for me, translates to, fits better in the shoulders than other… Full review

Columbia Men's Super Tamiami Long Sleeve Shirt

rated 5 of 5 stars The Super Tamiami is an incredibly light feeling shirt that keeps you cool and helps protect from the sun. If you're going to be out on the water, this is the shirt to get! The Super Tamiami is super light! It has such a light feel to it that it feels like you have nothing on. The only 'con' I give this shirt is that it is so breathable that you can feel every bit of cold and breeze, but that's a good thing since this is a summer shirt intended to be worn on hot and sunny days. You just want to… Full review

REI Men's Sahara Tech Shirt

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Lightweight, wickable, breathable shirt that's attractive enough to wear pretty much anywhere. I use this shirt a lot for hiking and backpacking, where my backpack causes my back to sweat. It wicks moisture quickly and dries out rapidly. The upper back portion of the shirt has a cool feature that allows you to lift and secure a flap exposing some mesh material for added ventilation. I normally always wear pull over technical tee-shirts when carrying a pack, which are great for keeping the perspiration… Full review

Columbia Women's Tamiami II Short Sleeve Shirt

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Lightweight, breathable shirt perfect for day hikes or backpacking. It is quick drying and doesn't wrinkle easily also making is perfect for traveling. Soft fabric and snap closures which make it difficult to snag on branches or gear. I found this shirt on the sale rack at Bass Pro Shops and picked it up for hiking trips. I would say it runs mostly true to size but a little on the large side. Normally I wear women's Medium size shirts but the small version of this shirt fits me perfectly. Because… Full review
