Osprey Finesse Pro

rated 5 of 5 stars Lightweight for its capacity. Very tough construction. Easy to adjust to a stocky frame on a short guy. Taken it hiking. mountaineering, and day hiking where I had to haul in lots of stuff for back country picnics. Very good for winter use with all the attachment points, side ski holders etc. Flexible. Easy to adjust. Fits well, comfortable, good built-in volume management. Easy to adjust on the go. Full review

Osprey Atmos AG 65

rated 2 of 5 stars Two packs, two failures of the Velcro on the waistband. I received a replacement pack after the velcro "on the fly" adjuster failed and was slipping, meaning I couldn't tighten the waistband. It happened on day 1 of a 14-day trek and the pack was brand new. I had the weight of the pack on my shoulders for the remainder of the walk killing my back. On returning home I was provided a second pack and another failure of the Velcro hip belt occurred after around 7 days use and only 6kg in the pack. Full review

Deuter Aircontact 75+10

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Great expedition backpack. Works exceptionally well under heavy weight for long distances. Pack is very adjustable, giving me the confidence to carry a heavy load and navigate over tricky mountain terrain. Very good construction and materials, creating a durable and strong pack. Looks good. After research on the Deuter Aircontact 75+10 and discussion with others on the mountains. I made the purchase last fall and have come to love this backpack and give it monumental trust. I noticed a prevailing… Full review

Osprey Atmos AG 65

rated 4 of 5 stars This is the perfect pack for a weekend or a week-long trip. You can detach the hood for a smaller pack. I've done so a few time when bushwhacking. The Anti Gravity system make for a very comfortable pack. The weight feels like it's gone. I can even tie my shoes with it on my back. My wife told me if I quit smoking I could get a new pack. So I'm smoke free. The pack is totally adjustable, but you should always get fitted. This is the most comfort I have ever seen in a pack. The hip belt could use… Full review

Cerro Torre Kodiak

rated 5 of 5 stars Tough as nails. I have had this pack for about 11 to 12 years, and it has been out in the snow for ski backpacking several years, camping in Florida, Oregon, Washington, Appalachian Trail, simple car camping, backpacking—you name it. This thing looks brand new. It's been beat, rained on, blizzarded on, sweated to death in humidity, used probably 60 days a year for 11-12 years. AMAZING PRODUCT. Even the clips were easily repaired if they got smashed in airports. I can't even say more than what… Full review

Gregory Baltoro 85

rated 5 of 5 stars Comes with pack: rain fly, small hydration pack, and waterproof phone compartment. Fit is great. Call Gregory, the company people are nice and easy to work with. The 85 is very comfortable to carry. Lots of room, but not so much that you will be bring too much gear. The pack can be top loaded and you can get to the main compartment from the front. Compression is very good. It has straps all over and this makes it easy for compressing the pack. Zippers work easy. Only just purchased this pack. Full review

ALPS Mountaineering Red Tail 4900

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Lots of storage and comfortable when loaded down. This is for the 4900 model. I've only had this pack for about five weeks now, but I've had it out about eight times in the wilderness. I bought it mainly for canoe camping, the large size can fit all of my gear, to cut down on the number of trips I must make on a portage. I haven't tried wearing the pack and carrying  the canoe at the same time, but I think I could do it if I dropped the kitchen sink from my inventory. This is the first internal… Full review

Osprey Talon 33

rated 5 of 5 stars This pack is incredibly convenient. I use it for many things besides overnights, including adventure racing and orienteering. Because it's lightweight and well-made, even if it is not full, it's not a burden. The fit on this bag is a little large, but I was larger when I bought it. It actually cinches down really well. All the straps are very comfortable and adjust at all the right spots. They also have a ton of venting on the straps and the back allowing air to flow just about everywhere. I would… Full review

Osprey Aura AG 65

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Osprey Aura Anti Gravity suspension system makes for a comfortable fit and no sweat puddles on your back. I carry 35 lbs with no problem. I wish Osprey had more colors for women to choose from. Seems like the men have better choices.  I have to use a bear canister and I have enough room to organize my gear with all the roomy compartments.  This is my first backpack and I am super impressed by how it floats on my back and keeps me cool. Love love the suspension system! Full review
