Osprey Atmos 65 AG

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Most comfortable pack ever. I was a little leery about purchasing the Osprey AG 65 because it was so new to the market, but once I tried it on at the store I instantly knew that it was designed for me. I have a small case of arthritis in my lower back and my old pack was killing me. I was about to give up backpacking altogether until this product came to market. I have done four trips with it so far and the comfort is superb. The fit is exact with the easy adjustable features it has. The compartments… Full review

Osprey Aether 70

rated 5 of 5 stars This pack is very durable, and can carry a large amount of gear/weight evenly, so it is very comfortable to haul over long distances. From multi-day rock climbing trips to backpacking in the wilderness, the storage on this pack has kept me organized, and held together while beating it up and abusing it. The fit of the pack is true to size. The chest strap sits in a great position, which also allows the waist belt to hold the weight like it is supposed to. This allows heavy loads to be carried comfortably… Full review

Osprey Kestrel 48

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Multiple pockets to stow equipment. Lightweight. Outside water compartment. Excellent design. Lightweight. Full review

Osprey Aether 85

rated 4.5 of 5 stars A great pack for any trip. The pack is big enough for 5-7 days and useful enough for 2-3 day trips. I have used this pack for three seasons and I have been nothing but pleased with it. I am also comforted by Osprey's Lifetime Warranty and have used it once on a previous pack and was impressed with the work they were able to do! This pack can easily let you carry 50 lbs, but why would you? It fits me like a glove and I have never had any rubs or bruises. It has a webbed outside pocket that keeps… Full review

Gregory Deva 80

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This is a large capacity pack deigned specifically for women. It comes in three sizes so that everyone can get a comfortable fit. This pack is the newest and largest of several Gregory packs I own. My personal reason for choosing this brand is that I am 5'2" with a short torso and Gregory makes well designed women's specific packs in three sizes, so I am able to find a good fit with the extra small version. So far I have only used it on canoe trips where it was only necessary to carry it over portages,… Full review

Kelty Red Cloud 90

rated 1 of 5 stars Least rugged pack I've ever witnessed. Internal frame will wear through the weakest of nylon and stick out the bottom. Great for a bad back — puts all the weight on the hips — until the pack fails. This is the least rugged pack I've ever owned. I bought this after two back surgeries, so I'm carrying the least in my entire life. The biggest problem is that the internal frame rests on their thinnest nylon, totally not reinforced — even a little. So if you hike a bit, the rubbing action makes… Full review

Osprey Xenith 88

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This bag is a well designed expedition hiking backpack. It has a superb carrying comfort and excellent organization to make long expeditions possible. The Xenith 88 is Osprey's large, expedition worthy backpack. I have used this pack on a three-month expedition in the American Southwest, a 5-day backpacking trip in the Sierra Nevada mountain range, and an overnight where I was carrying gear for two people. This pack is comfortable and feature rich, while also being durable enough to handle off-trail… Full review

Gregory Deva 70

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Highly effective at reducing how weight feels when properly adjusted. Basically impossible to get water bottle back into holder. Non-adjustable sleeping bag compartment. I first used this pack on a 10-mile roundtrip overnight cross-country ski trip carrying 65 pounds. It was difficult to swing the pack up onto my shoulders but once it was there and the straps properly adjusted, it certainly didn't feel like 60 pounds (felt like 20-ish I'd say). Definitely a keeper! I wasn't strong enough to lift… Full review

Osprey Aether 70

rated 5 of 5 stars A pack that will carry what you need and then some! Solidly constructed with plenty of areas to strap things to the exterior if needed. The hip belt and shoulder strap system is the best I have ever used! This pack met and exceeded my expectations and needs! The detachable "brain" worked great for side hikes when all I needed to carry was rain gear and some water. The interior compartment is roomy and provides plenty of room for personal and crew gear. The outer pocket/pouch is handy for items needing… Full review
