Equipped with an ESS torsion shank, sticky rubber edging zone, and Keen's patented toe protection, the Shellrock is designed for performance. Synthetic soft shell upper has no seams for better wear and fit; woven textile lining. Forefoot flex grooves are shaped to flex with your foot. Patented toe protection also adds durability. Metatomical, removable, tri-density footbed provides additional cushioning where you need it. Protection plate under forefoot for safer landings. ESS torsion stability shank adds lateral support on uneven trails. S3 (shock, suspension, stability) Heel Support Structure is engineered to support the foot on impact, dissipating shock and reducing the chance of ankle twisting. Seamless soft-shell polyester uppers with abrasion-resistant thermoplastic urethane (TPU) overlays supply breathability and durability. Standard lacing provides a secure fit; padding across tongues and collars adds comfort. Patented rubber toe guards protect feet and uppers from bumps and abrasion. Wicking nylon linings absorb sweat and disperse it quickly for fast drying. Removable Metatomical EVA footbeds are custom shaped to provide cushioning, rebound and arch support. Triple-density EVA midsoles deliver serious cushioning and pronation control for stability and comfort on rough trails. Nylon forefoot protection plates shield feet from roots and rocks; nylon shanks add torsional stability on uneven terrain. TPU shanks provide even more stability to your stride.
