I never got a chance to use this backpack because when it arrived, it was defective. The stitching for one of the support rods was non-existent, which means that it would rip right through the pack when any weight was applied to it. Overall, the pack seemed flimsy and the straps and modular system seemed complicated. I received no instructions. It definitely did not have a rugged feel to it.
