Excellent, lightweight trekking poles (pair). Used them in the White Mountains of NH on a 5+ mile hike for the first time and they performed well. I had one slip because the lower section of one pole wasn't tightened enough after setting my preferred length, but that was an easy fix.

Collapsed down they measure approximately 16" - 18" and strap easily to the outside of your pack. To make this brand light in weight, Ti is used and I had to give it a 4.5 because they also don't have the shock absorber in the pole, again for weight reasons.

The grip is comfortable and the strap should be used...as instructed, meaning run your hand up through the strap from the bottom, capturing one half of the strap's web against the poles hand grip...in case of slippage the strap will support you.
