These poles are excellent for the area I live in -- mountains, hills, and plenty of forests. They give me that extra grip and support while I am going up steep terrain. I also appreciate the extra balance support while going back down hill.

The attachments for snowy terrain is well made and has helped me in slippery areas. There are also rubber attachments at the end of the pole that come off if you want to use the metal ends. I always keep them on so I do not damage the trails.

The poles shorten to a very reasonable length for attaching to backpack. The poles are easy to adjust to your height and very reliable when things are a little rough on the hike. Excellent materials and very strong.

I recommend this product if you are looking for an inexpensive, easy to use, well made hiking pole.
