The Mammut 10. 5 Apex Classic Standard Climbing Rope offers huge safety reserves for the weary climber who still has a bit of trouble trusting the gear. A 10. 5mm diameter makes it difficult for the rope to slip through the belayer's hands as well as an A. T. C; in fact, the belayer might just have to push the rope through the A. T. C in order to get the climber to the ground. A larger diameter also means the rope is more durable, longer lasting, and has a greater amount of UI falls, meaning the Apex is ideal for those who climb every once in a while as opposed to the weekend warriors. It's also an excellent training tool for roped soloing projects as well as gym climbing.
