New England Ropes / Maxim Guide 9.8 mm

Retailers' Descriptions

Here's what other sites are saying:

Designed by Maxim/New England Ropes and used and endorsed by the EMS Climbing School, the Guide is fast becoming a staple of our climbing community. EMS Climbing School Director, Joe Lentini had this to say about the Guide: "What rope would we as climbing guides want to climb on? The answer to that question is the new Guide rope by Maxim. It's the rope I use everyday: summer, winter, traditional, sport.". With a 9.8 mm diameter, the Guide weighs just 66 grams per meter, making it more comfortable to carry over long alpine routes. Bicolored design lets you easily distinguish the halfway point to aid rappels. Drycoated to resist water, usable for ice climbing.
