I bought a new jacket for winter here in Minnesota.
Rating: ![]()
Fabric: Pertex microlight ripstop
Fill: 800+ fill down
Price Paid: $350
I bought a new jacket for winter here in Minnesota. I choose the Nunatak over all the other guys because it was made in the USA. It came without a hood however, but it will be great for layering under my Wild Things parka (another fine US manufacturer) nontheless. I didn’t go for the option of pit zips; it seemed unnecessary and not worth the 25 extra bucks.
At first I couldn’t decide between the Feathered Friends Frontpoint Jacket (also USA made) and this one, but I figured what the heck, I should try the new guys out. Well, I'll tell you that I am glad I did. I'm writing this to let everyone know that you will get a great fitting jacket from these guys and the 800 down they use is luxurious!
