This makes a great cup of joe.

  • Everything about it

  • None

This makes a great cup of joe, no BS. Be careful. It will be hot and will stay hot a long time. Have read reviews saying messy cleanup. Not that bad, takes 5 sec to rinse it out.

You're sitting by a campfire, it's 10 pm waiting for the next bull head to bite, you want a piping hot cup of coffee you got it, or it's 6am, you just crawled out of your sleeping bag. You want a hot cup of joe you got it.

If you want fresh coffee in less than 5 min this is the cup for you. Not a bad price, no floaters in the coffee, and man o man does it stay hot. Bought four of them.

The French press is one of the most common coffee brewing methods out there. This camping French press by Outdoor Products makes it easy to have a full flavored French press in the great outdoors.

  • Durable
  • Drink straight from brewer
  • Breaks down easily
  • Rubber lid

  • Messy clean up

This French press is pretty great. I love that you can drink straight out of the press. This product has a rubber lid with a "splash guard" type opening. The rubber makes for a very comfortable drink.

All you do is pull the plunger out, pour coffee grounds in the cup and pour hot water over the grounds. Let the coffee steep for the desired amount of time and plunge the grounds down to the bottom, allowing the ground to be filtered out of the water. This product makes a delicious, full-bodied cup of coffee.

This french press is very simple to use and met my expectations. When I first saw it I just had to have it and it has been well worth the money.

Looking into getting one of these. Just wondering how long a cup of coffee stays reasonable warm for with the lid on? Also, is the lid tight enough to drink some, stash it in a packs side pocket and drink the rest an hour later down the trail? Or do you think the liquid would find a way to escape the lid as your body's movement sloshes the liquid around and make a mess of your pack? Thanks.

Hey KiwiKlimber! This press does keep coffee hot for a long time, but it is definitely not leak proof. It's great for sitting around the campsite, but you won't want to put it in your pack and hike with it. For taking coffee on the trail, I would suggest this thermos mug http://www.thermos.com/products/vacuum-insulated-16-oz-matte-black-travel-tumbler.aspx // It keeps coffee really hot for around 5 hours. I would also suggest getting an Aeropress. It is super easy to use and there is hardly any cleanup with it, which is great when your trying to get back on the trail. Here's my review of the Aeropress http://www.trailspace.com/gear/aerobie/aeropress/#review30734

Thanks Ben. I have a friend who has been hounding me to get an Aeropress. Maybe the time is now.
