- 8 cup outdoor coffee pot. It brewed 2 cup pot several times. Then it quit brewing. Same burner same setting. Tried 8 cup pot on Ozark camp. 45 min. it turned water black not brewed. What is wrong?
Recently bought an 8-cup stainless steel camp coffee pot percolator. Several times it brewed a 2 cup pot then it stopped. Same burner same temperature setting. Placed 8-cup pot on an Ozark Propane camp stove. 45 minutes later it only had black water not brewed coffee. What is wrong?
Maybe the stem is plugged up? This is an old technology and pretty bullet proof if you don't lose the glass thing on top - everybody used to use them and the kinks were worked out long ago. Personally, if I wanted one or needed parts, I would just pick up an entire unit at a church rummage sale or dig one out of a relative's cupboard as there are a lot of them around gathering dust.

Haven't used the product yet but extremely not impressed with the large unremovable label on the product with the cute little "pull here" tab.
Why can't someone come up with a label that is easier to remove without damaging the product????? Not a happy camper!!

Anyone know where I can get a replacement bowl or another percolator from Ozark?
I live on a sailboat and really enjoyed this percolator. Only problem is I dropped the drip bowl into the river while cleaning out the coffee grounds on the dock.

My coffee pot came with the glass percolator but after using it found that the rest on the stem was appearantly too low. The basket sat fine on the stem but the lid sat on the rim of the pot and that left a gap between the two and the coffee grounds would go into the coffee.
I went back to Wal-Mart and found that the product was made by Ozark Trail but there was no other information on how to contact them. The two coffee pots on the shelf of course were wrapped in plastic so I could not see if they had the same issues as the one I bought. I was looking online for a way to get in touch with them when I found this and decided to leave my experience with the product.
The percolator would be great if it didn't have a defect. Any idea on how I can get in touch with the manufacturer??????

I recently found the same percolator at our new Bass Pro Shops/Outdoor world. The 9-cup stainless Pot #13215 is made in China for "Texsport," Houston, TX 77255 (www.texsport.com), Customer Service Dept. 1-800-231-1402, M-F, 8am-5pm CST. and retails for $27.99.
The Texsport is slightly shorter and fatter so parts are not interchangeable, however it comes with two (2) glass perk tops which are interchangeable. The Texsport also has side holes in the basket unlike the Ozark.
Overall quality seem to be the same but check product before purchase as I found one lid didn't close and one dented lid out of the three on the shelf.

Okay, I've returned my stainless percolator. The product came wrapped in clear plastic. There was no glass top on the unit, but I reasoned that it must be packed inside. It was not, in fact, they may be shipping them without the glass top on all units. Not much use to have a percolator with a hole in the top.
I had my receipt, so I returned it, and I'm searching for another because I like the concept. A stainless basket and stem should be stronger than the aluminum units inside the old speckled porcelain percolator that I keep in the pop-up camper.
I checked online and among the search results was a replacement glass top for $2 at REI. If that fits this thing, it may be a good marriage...I may give it a second chance.

Ozark Trail has got lost on the trail. It seems that someone has left a trail of peanuts and the company has lost their way back to quality products. Take for instance the coffee pot I bought and tried to use on a resent camping trip. When I bought one of these years age it was great, never had coffee like it before. So when I went to get a new one seems that quality control has turned a blind eye since mine had a huge leak on it. The bottom seam was leaking so badly it was useless. I also have the concern that this product has a MADE IN CHINA label.

I got my percolator as part of the 13 piece cook set, took it up to deer camp and the first morning there tried to make a pot of coffee with it, but could not because the stem was broken right at the base where it sits on the top of the bottom piece. Luckily I had another coffee pot with us to make coffee in. The pot itself is good for heating water, but for making coffee, forget it.

The coffee percolator worked great and I would have rated it 5 stars if the glass top didn't break so easily. For those of you who need a replacement glass top Ace Hardware has a Fitz-All replacement glass percolator top size 13/16 - 1-1/2IN. that will work.

After seeing this product on the shelf, I decided that it was a perfect size for camping. The finish on the stainless was great throughout...some sharp edges on the stamped pieces.
It's virtually useless at present as the glass "bubbler" at the top lid is missing...and the "bubbler" on the only other pot there was missing also.
Guess I'm off to some thrift store to see if I can find one on a percolator they have, to see if it performs.
BTW...no charge for your QUALITY FEEDBACK!

I am a Coffee Addict and my 6 cup is like 5-10 years old, all nice and black from years of use. Just my last trip I lost the Clear Top piece for my 6 cup coffee pot. Is there a way to get a new clear top piece? I went to Walmart to just buy a new pot but all they have is a 9 cup. I really hate to just trash my 6 cuper because of one little part.

I bought this coffee percolator a couple months back and now the little clear top piece shattered. Anyone know if I can get the replacement piece somewhere?
Also, the lid doesn't sit down all the way like it should. Otherwise, it brews up a pretty good cup of coffee.

I purchase the pot because it looked good. I set up the pot and brewed my coffee and it was very good. When I returned home and broke down the pot to put it in the dishwasher and I went to unscrew the percolator it broke. I can't find one anywhere. If it hadn't broken I would have given it a 4.5 stars, maybe even five.
