The screws for the clip come out. I like the knife but I don't want it in my pocket but on the outside.

Thanks.

I read both the good and bad reviews on this knife, but when I saw the symbol on the blade I knew that it had to be good. That symbol belongs to Columbia River Knife and Tool (CRKT). They don't make cheap stuff.

Pros

  • I sharpen the blade and it seems to be one of the new Chinese steels. They aren't bad. They are pretty good
  • It's well made
  • Good materials
  • $7.88 for this knife is great

Cons

  • Hard to open with one hand (getting better the more I use it).

This blade acts like 9CR18MO, but you can't even buy a blank for that price. I would sure like to know what it really is. It holds an edge as good a AUS-8.

When you see two mountains with a river flowing through them I'm sure you can trust the knife.

I had issues with the screws falling out while in use. Bad if it were a survival situation. I put a lil soft set lock tight on them and now it's all good. Watch main blade screw too.

Pros

  • Price is great
  • Good looking
  • Feels good in the hand
  • Sharpens good.

Cons

  • Screws loosens up
  • Blade is close to being brittle
  • No place to call if you need parts

Really is not a bad knife for the money. It will serve you well if you soft set lock tight the screws and don't work the knife too hard, just as you shouldn't any knife.

I spend lots of time outdoors camping, fishing and hunting. I saw this knife for $7 and some change at Wal-Mart and decided to give it a try. It looked as though the liner lock was very thick and sturdy, and for the price it was worth a try.

I have to say I am amazed at the craftsmanship for such a cheap price. The handle contours to give a feel in your hand and the wood scales make it look good. I carry and use mine daily and it has held up well.

I'm not sure of the grade of the stainless steel that the blade is made of, but if you know how to sharpen a knife it with hold a good edge for a nice while.

For a cheap knife made in China, I'd have to say that it's a good deal, so you should go get yourself one and put it to the test! The only thing I would change is the addition of a lanyard hole on the handle.

Price Paid: $7 and some change.

We purchased 6 of these knives (#3074 Bar Code 42256 03074). Some of the knives were purchased prior to this occasion and already returned to Walmart.

The 6 knives were purchased for gifts for a Cub Scout Den, and they looked good in the package, but when they are removed from the package it seems as if they come apart.

Some the locks completely came out of the knife, and some of the handles are cracked in the grip area where the fingers would go.

I could not allow a child to use such things for obvious safety reasons.

They are not worth returning to Walmart again and we will not ever buy these particular knives again.

Poor quality, matched or overpowered the cheap price...

Price Paid: $.97 X 6 (Plus Tax)

I carry this knife in a saddle bag for use around the ranch. Has come through for me from cutting bailing twine to leather and has even helped repair barbwire fencing. I hate it is made by the Chiaese but it seems our last few presidents loved the Chinese and this new one has given our country to them.

This knife was a good gift from a fellow from Mexico I had working here but he had to go back home. Good worker too, hated to see him go.

Price Paid: $0 (Gift)

I am very upset to find out that Wal-Mart no longer carries this product. I always have that knife with me no matter where I go. I accidentally lost it and I NEED another one ASAP. I use it for work, home, anywhere!

Price Paid: $1.04

This knife is worthless except for as a paper weight. The second time I used it the blade broke in half.

Stay away from cheap China made knifes and get a quality American made one.

I purchased this knife for a camping utility knife. It was in three pieces, broken in the package. It isn't worth a dollar.

Price Paid: $1

I love this thing!!!!!!!!
