Patagonia R2 Wool Lined Gloves
Here's what other sites are saying:
Predawn paddle outs are good for the soul, but they can be hell on the hands. Offering warmth and dexterity for cold-water surfing or kiting and made from flexible, high-quality 2mm neoprene and lined with hydrophobic low-pile micro-grid all-recycled polyester, the R2(R) Gloves keep your hands warm and your dexterity high when the winter groundswells really start to fire. Textured PU lamination on the palm and fingers maximizes grip, and articulated panels conform to the shape of the hand for a snug, drag-free fit. Cuffs and seams are reinforced with one-centimeter bartacks and Melco(R) glue dots for durability and strength.
For cool water 55-65deg F / 12-28deg C. When it came to wetsuits, we wanted something warmer, more flexible, better fitting and tough enough to withstand extended use. Looking to what divers, sailors and fishermen had been using all these years to stay warm, in and on the ocean, we tried wool. For comfort and performance, we blend merino wool with polyester, and it's this merino/polyester blend lining that gives our wetsuits their added warmth without added rubber. We make wetsuits in four weights for all water temperatures - R1(R) (warm), R2(R) (cool), R3(R) (cold), and R4(R) (frigid) - and in several cuts for men and women. Patagonia wetsuits are decidedly warmer than standard nylon-lined suits, but they also wear longer, dry faster and are made from post-consumer recycled polyester, merino wool softened without chlorine, and no PVC. PU-laminated palm and fingers increase grip and durability. Articulated neoprene panels conform to hand for a snug, comfortable fit. Cuffs and seams are secured with glue dots, Melco(R) reinforcements and 1cm bartacks. Fabric: 1.5mm neoprene lined with chlorine-free merino wool/recycled polyester jersey. Weight: 87 g (3.1 oz).
