Pearl Izumi Peak XC

I race in Xterra Tri's and have used the Salomon XA Pro's for the last few years. I decided to give these a shot to mix it up. They are extremely light and fantastic for your interval runs on a treadmill or road.

As soon as I got onto trails that involved scrambling, climbing and downhills I felt like I was going to bust right out of them. Minimal lateral support was the problem (in my opinion). This does not make for an aggressive trail running shoe that involves dodging rocks, negotiating scree or any sort of side to side movement.

Again, great for your basic road runs or treadmill sessions.
