From Backcountry.com:
"You'll appreciate the excellent cold-weather performance of the Petzl MYO XP Belt Headlamp the next time you're in the mountains for a freezing 2 a.m. alpine start. Regular headlamps run out of energy very quickly when cold weather saps their power, but the MYO XP Belt Headlamp has a remote battery pack that can be worn inside your jacket to keep it warm and therefore keep the light going. A single ultra-bright LED bulb provides light up to 97m in boost mode and lasts for 180 hours on the lowest setting. For close-up work or reading in the tent, flip up the wide-angle lens to spread out the light."

From REI:
"Hardy enough to handle the rigors of serious outdoor adventures, the Petzl Myo XP Belt headlamp is ideal for cold-weather activities. Remote battery pack allows the batteries to be kept warm under clothing to help conserve battery power while climbing glaciers, skiing and backpacking. Battery pack also reduces the weight worn on the head to only 2.6 oz. (75g). Single high-output LED with three lighting levels, boost mode, strobe mode and diffuser lens meet the demands of nearly any lighting situation. Powerful LED is 200% brighter than previous models. LED casts beam up to 97m (318 ft.) in boost mode; boost mode offers 50% more light than maximum level for 20 sec. Battery-saving LED technology creates long burn times—up to 180 hrs. on economic level. Hinged diffuser lens allows for either long-distance spot lighting or flood beam proximity lighting. Tri-color LED battery-life indicator light warns when battery is 70% discharged (orange) and 90% discharged (red). Adjustable elastic headband is comfortable to wear; top strap ensures headlamp stays in place. Lamp body can be tilted to direct light beam where needed. Housing/switch design prevents unit from accidentally turning on when stored. Water-resistant design handles inclement weather. Powered by three AA batteries, included."
