Very disappointing.

The filter might be good but the item does not have a cap to protect the exit of (the purified) water from the several ways in which this type of item can get dirty (in real life).

After a one week of using it, water started leaking. The system to close the bottle is clearly poorly designed. The material is of doubtful quality. By the second week it was not possible to drink the water... without taking a shower at the same time!! First it was leaking a few drops but then much of the water started coming out from the wrong part!

Very disappointing to the extent of being useless. It is much simpler to carry iodine!

Retailers' Descriptions

Here's what other sites are saying:

The Traveller is a personal water filter and portable treatment in the form of a convenient, hand-held water bottle. Easy-to-use system combines Potable Aqua tablets with a proprietary filtration cap and innovative bottle design. Effective against giardia and cryptosporidia, providing bacteriologically suitable drinking water from fresh water sources. Simple design with filter permanently affixed to lid removes particulate matter as small as 2 microns from water. When bottle is turned upside down to drink, water is filtered through the entire element for improved flow and complete filtration. Charcoal element removes tastes of iodine and mineral content. Canted bottle shape makes it easy to pump the bottle for optimal waterflow (4-inch diameter at top, 3-inch at bottom). Curves and contours of bottle protect filter and make grip more comfortable. Bottle holds 25.3 fluid ounces of water. Comes with 50 Potable Aqua tablets, enough for 25 treatments. Closeout.
