Raichle Spirit GTX

rated 4.0 of 5 stars

Raichle is no longer in business, and the Spirit GTX has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best backpacking boots for 2024.

They're great! It took no time to break them in and they're incredibly comfortable. A good solid boot with plenty of room for the toes in the toe box. My only complaint is that I wish there was a little more ankle support. This would also be a great boot for those of you who have a slightly wider foot than most (like me). I usually have the hardest time finding a shoe or boot that can accomadate my aircraft carrier sized feet but the Spirit GTX really does the job.

Thsi is a Gore-Tex lined boot that is amazingly comfortable right out of the box. Can be warm in dry, hot hiking due to the Gore-Tex. Feet stayed completely dry even when crossing shallow streams while hiking.
