Bigfoot Snowshoes ADV Adventure

rated 5 of 5 stars Terrific customer service. Quick delivery! I ordered this set three days ago, and they showed up yesterday! I had one part of my pole that didn't lock properly, so I emailed the company, and within minutes I was emailed back about how to just tighten a screw to fix my problem. Well, I haven't got to use them yet, due to lack of snow. But so far my hubby and I are in love! Built really sturdy, and there were certainly no corners cut! All rivets are tight and the quality of the material is very good. Full review

MSR Shift

rated 4.5 of 5 stars A great little shoe in firm snow, not just for kids. These shoes are sold as youth snowshoes, but they perform very nicely for adults looking for light shoes in firm snow conditions (think spring in the Rockies). MSR lists these shoes as fitting youth up to 125 lbs and up to a Men's size 7. I took a bit of a gamble and ordered up pair as I was looking for a lightweight shoe (but still wanted good traction) for spring trips where you often carry your snowshoes more than wear them, but when you need… Full review

Yukon Charlie's Men's Trail Series 825

rated 0.5 of 5 stars Broke apart in less than 10 short hikes...CRAP. Used them less than 10 times and the plastic broke and the entire foot piece came out still attached to my foot. Cheap construction...going to attempt fixing them, but would never buy another pair. Even some of the plastic on the decking cracked and broke off. Full review

Yukon Charlie's Men's Trail Series 825

rated 1 of 5 stars These are junk. The plastic break up around the rivets the first time you wear them. I have two pair, worn one time for a 2-mile hike. We had to stop in the middle and use shoe string to tie them back together to get home.  Complete and total waste of money. Don't buy or you will be sorry! Full review

Bigfoot Snowshoes ADV Adventure

rated 0.5 of 5 stars Do not buy this junk!!!!!! Promised by Barry these glorified popcans would work in the SNOW, like in a real forest type setting, not the parking lot setting they filmed their commercial in. NOPE, because we actually used them in a forest, all warranty is void. Even called the Ontario BBB on this junk, what a waste of time!!! is a scam!! Full review

Tubbs Men's Frontier Series

rated 2 of 5 stars Nice looking snowshoe, but prone to failure. These were good snowshoes in terms of comfort and performance, and had good bindings that were easy to do up. However, I had two sets in a row that failed in the field. The frame separated on one and the cleat broke on another, just with regular use on snow. One of them squeaked constantly as well. Both pairs went back. Now I'm using a pair from Atlas. We'll see how those hold up. Full review

rated 5 of 5 stars Love, love, love MSR snowshoes. After a trail day event to try a few brands of snow shoes and hearing what fellow hikers had to say about their snowshoe experience, I purchased MSR. Once you figure out which shoe to put on which foot, you are good to go for a day out in the snow. Easy to get  on and off. Made well and does not kick up snow onto your back that some other brands can do. They did not feel like I had anything on my feet. Just walk and go! Full review

Bigfoot Snowshoes ADV Adventure

rated 0.5 of 5 stars What a horrible experience. Purchased two pairs of these and they are terrible! Started falling apart the first time out. We didn't walk on anything but snow. These are the worst snowshoes I have ever used.  They have several flaws: The ratchet bindings loosen very quickly, so you have stop to tighten them every few minutes.  The poles close no matter how tight you set them. The baskets that attach to the bottom of the poles broke in the first outing.  The shoes themselves are poor quality. The… Full review

L.L.Bean Men's Winter Walker

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This is my first pair of snowshoes and I'll have to say I'm impressed with the quality and ease of adjustment these snowshoes have. I bought these snowshoes three years ago and have had a blast with them, both in the woods and open fields. So easy to just step in, tighten, and away I go. The built-in crampons mean ice (which I've used these on) is no problem whatsoever. I'd recommend these to anyone. There may be better out there, but for entry level and price these are tough to beat. Full review
