Summary
Sometime it is hard to get excited about socks, but these are a different story. Save your feet, buy them.
Pros
- Light wool
- Prevents blisters
- Cost
Cons
- Thin at toe
I have a couple of pairs of these and have worn them on numerous hikes. After numerous wears and washes they still fit well and have not lost elasticity at the top.
You do not notice these much when you throw your regular socks over them and put them into your boots. Light, thin and they don't make your feet sweat. I did one hike without them, foolishly, and sure enough blisters on both feet, limping like a fool.
The only minus is that these are very thin at the toe and while it has only happened with one pair the toe section gained a hole in what seemed like a pretty quick time after purchase. I would still say this is a pretty good buy and definitely they make a difference.
