Mountaineering Extra Heavy Crew

rated 4 of 5 stars Proper socks for cold weather activities. They offer good insulation and comfort. In case of very low temperatures, a very thin liner can be used. They are bulky so make sure they fit in your boots without restricting your blood circulation. The only complaint is they really get loose after some usage, but that's a natural feature of wool. PhD Outdoor Medium Crew Sock

rated 4 of 5 stars Very versatile either in a hiking boot or in a dress shoe. Can hand wash without damaging sock. Limited odor retention. I have had two pairs for 2.5 years now. One in grey and one in the same pattern pictured here. I do not wear them daily, but I have worn them dozens of times in a variety of activities. I have worn a pair in Torres Del Paine over a five-day period of time alternating the two pair. No holes or tears yet.  Full review

Mountaineering Extra Heavy Crew

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Outstanding comfort and function, to protect my most critical of trail gear -- those size 12 feet! Makes a great stocking stuffer anytime of the year ... it's the sock that I like getting stuffed into most! If foot comfort is important to you, this is a must try sock. (Durability looks great so far for me and in other online reviews. I need another minimum 30 more hikes before I can better judge durability. I'll adjust rating accordingly when I am 100% sure of durability.) -- Titles have changed… Full review

Neck Gaiter

rated 5 of 5 stars Nice merino neck gaiter. Keeps my neck warm with the comfort of merino wool. Fit and comfort:  Pulls on easily over my head, stretchy enough to stay on over my nose and ears and comfortable enough to sleep in. The seams are internal and do not get in the way. Adjustability: It has the elasticity of merino wool, but no additional adjustment devices. It's two layers of knit merino wool sewn together. Water resistance: None, just a knit merino neck gaiter. Breathability and Moisture management: Great! Full review

Midweight Turtleneck

rated 5 of 5 stars Luxurious warmth!!!! WOW! I could just leave it at that but I will elaborate. I first bought the SmartWool NTS 250 bottoms, which I love, so when I saw this shirt on sale I couldn't resist. Although both the top and bottoms are NTS 250 the top is much thicker and sooooo soft. I like staying warm outdoors and this shirt has kept me just that! I wear it all winter and bring it along for all my hiking and camping endeavours in the summer as well. I usually sleep in it when I'm at higher elevations… Full review
