Traditional families usually find themselves searching for a missing glove or mitten, but ski and snowboard families can tell tales of epic searches for goggles--and the fact that they had to pay thrice the price for a replacement at a destination ski resort. That's why most ski families we know (including a few on our staff) tend to buy kid's goggles in pairs and trios--and they tend to opt for ergonomically comfortable goggles like this Smith Sundance Kid model. It features a thermal lens sized to fit over any ski or snowboard school helmet. Smith made the Sundance with plush hypoallergenic face foam that fits neatly and comfortably--even if your child keeps removing the goggles to see what the real world looks like outside the replaceable orange lenses. Replacement lenses are sold separately for the Sundance Kid, but our firsthand experience found that children tend to misplace and lose goggles long before the lenses are ever too scratched up to see through. - Altrec Outdoors
