Manufacturer's Description

TITANIUM SHAFT
Why titanium? Titanium is strong to resist damage. It’s also light. This puts the weight where you want it-
at the head. Titanium is also stiffer than aluminum—as a result, your swing energy goes into driving the pick,
not vibrating the handle.

Mantas come in three shapes:

CLEARANCE SHAFT reaches around bulges as well as other modern clearance designs. The MANTA, however, is superior in that the straight upper portion allows easy hammering and chopping. Just hold the shaft above the curve and it's just like using a straight shaft tool.

STRAIGHT for those who prefer the easy hammering and mountaineering capabilities of a straight shaft.

TRADITIONAL CURVE an "S" shaped curve for reduced fatigue while hanging and less knuckle bashing.

In addition to the modular Manta with aluminum heads, Stanley Alpine offers a one piece head design.
