Price Paid: $19
This compass, along with its rebranded twin the 'Silva' Model 424 Wrist sighting compass, is the best example out there in a reasonably priced wrist compass. Sapphire bearing, a luminous dial, a lockable bearing dial, and a sighting window allow for 2.5 degree accuracy and hands-free operation. A great compass for kayakers, small boat enthusiasts, or anyone who needs a hands-free compass for general navigation. When doing land navigation in remote wilderness, you're better off using the M-9 as backup to a dedicated protractor or map-friendly compass such as the Suunto M-2, Brunton Nexus Pro 25, etc.
