Have owned one (Terra Nova Explorer) for six years…

Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Price Paid: If I remember rightly £360 (long time ago)

Have owned one (Terra Nova Explorer) for six years now and use it a number of times a year. Been to France, Germany and England including Derbyshire, where the tent was made, also a few times to Scotland. The tent is still in great condition.

I always make sure it's clean and dry and re proofed) before stored. It has never let me down even through winter camps.

As the bloke above said, Expensive but BOMB PROOF Tent!

A great tent from one of the UK's finest manufacturers.

Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Design: 4 season 4 pole geodesic
Sleeps: 2/3
Ease of Setup: Fairly straightforward although clips and pole loops can be fiddly
Weight: 7 lb
Price Paid: £350-400

A great tent from one of the UK's finest manufacturers. Put up with 15 continuous hours of heavy rain and didn't let a single drop in. This tent is deceptively spacious and could accommodate 3 at a push, with enough room to sit two or more of you up in comfort. The porch is just big enough to cook in. A little on the heavy side but well worth putting up with for benefits of strength, stability and resilience. Materials are all first class. A good buy.

Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Design: Eexceptionally strong, geodesic
Sleeps: 2
Ease of Setup: 8/10
Weight: 3.35kg
Price Paid: £350

EXPLORER "ICONIC" Bomb proof four-season tent able to take all that the elements can throw at it. Very well made in ENGLAND by Terra Nova in Derbyshire. Expensive with a RRP of £400. Not cheap but the best never is. Especially when your life might depend on your kit. Sleeps one in comfort, two at a squeeze, I wouldn't recommend three, since that is Quasar territory.

Note the Explorer has now been discontinued.and replaced by lighter modern designs. Go to http://www.terra-nova.co.uk/epages/terranova.storefront for their current range.
