Terra Nova Quasar ETC

Always been impressed with this tent, but last week…

Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Design: 4 Season Geodesic Dome
Sleeps: 2
Ease of Setup: Inner can get wet while erecting although it is waterproof, is very easy but very rarely do I use the same number of pegs ????
Weight: 5kg (ETC puts weight on it)
Price Paid: £400

Always been impressed with this tent, but last week in the Lake District I experienced the worst weather I have ever been in (I camp throughout the 12 months of the year and have seen some wind and rain). Normally the Quasar does not budge when others are being destroyed, this time is was shaking and making noises but after 12 hrs when it let up I checked inside and out.

Not one drop of rain came in and every guy rope was as taut as when I pitched it. Two of the excellent pegs (normally unbendable) which were at the windward side had been bent whilst in the ground.

Since then I have showered the tent with gifts and kisses.
