MAC-Gear 40 Degree Down Under Quilt

rated 4 of 5 stars The Mac Gear hammock Under Quilt provides good fit and warmth. The Top Quilt and Under Quilts are handmade in Florida of good quality materials and workmanship. If you have a Warbonnet hammock, this under quilt will fit nicely under the shelf. I got tired of trying to deal with sleeping pads in my hammock because I never could get them to stay in place while I slept. When using a mummy bag in my hammock, I could never get comfortable zipping it up and the bottom insulation did no good anyway. I… Full review

Hammock Gear Incubator 20°

rated 5 of 5 stars I own 13 quilts. Hammockgear.com has the best design and manufacture of them all. They have the best price-to-value ratio and the best service I've found. Period. I own 13 quilts. Hammock Gear Incubator 20°

rated 5 of 5 stars Light. Warm. Excellent quality. Includes stuff sack and cotton storage bag. Built to order options for colors, materials, and over-stuff. Great customer service. I purchased an Incubator 20 short with 1 oz of overstuff, so it is probably more in the 15 degree range as far as rating goes. I have used this quilt down (with a 20 degree HG under quilt with 1oz. overstuff) to a damp 10 degrees and been comfortable (YMMV I am a warm sleeper). The quilt is light enough that it is my go-to for most of the… Full review

Therm-a-Rest Slacker Snuggler

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Slacker Snuggler is a great little underquilt. I think it’s a perfect fit for hanging in summer, late spring, and early fall. Retailing at $79.95, it is much more expensive than CCF pads and a bit heavier, but much more comfortable. The Snuggler is about half the cost of similarly rated down quilts, but easier to use and maintain. The Slacker Snuggler came without any instructions, and there are no instructions for use or care on the Therm-a-Rest website; an insert of some variety showing… Full review

Outdoor Vitals Aerie 20°F Down Underquilt

rated 4 of 5 stars Well made and good value for the price. Somewhat cold as a sleeping bag for a 20 degree down. Used this as a sleeping bag on several occasions. Well made and innovative design as either an under quilt, sleeping pod, or a sleeping bag. I did feel somewhat cold at night. Maybe because it is rectangle design and not a mummy. I will be trying it as an under quilt / sleeping pod with a hammock soon.  The best thing is the value and the innovative designs coming out of Outdoor Vitals.  Full review

Hammock Gear Phoenix 20

rated 5 of 5 stars Excellent underquilt that I found right at its temperature rating. Perfect balance for warmth and weight/pack size. This is an excellent underquilt that I found right at its temperature rating. Its the perfect balance of warmth and weight/pack size. I use a small foam sit pad stuffed inside the foot box of the top quilt (or sleeping bag) to keep my feet warm since this is a partial underquilt. It covers from the shoulders down to mid thigh. A small down pack pillow and the sit pad keep the rest… Full review

Hammock Gear Phoenix 20

rated 4.5 of 5 stars A very lightweight under quilt. Temperature rating is accurate, and fits gathered end hammocks very well. This under quilt is perfect for gathered end hammocks. The temperature rating (20°F) seems spot on, as long as you use an appropriate top quilt. The Phoenix fits gathered end hammocks very well. It can even be used on a bridge style hammock with minimal cold spots. Hammock Gear uses very high quality 850fp goose down that allows a very small pack size (see video) I've used this quilt for two… Full review

Little Shop of Hammocks Toaster Down Under Quilt

rated 5 of 5 stars A full length 800 FP HyperDri goose down hammock under quilt rated for 0 F. Available in a large variety of colour combinations and fabric types, I choose the A90 (.9 oz/sq yrd.) olive outside with the same A90 fabric in black on the inside. After testing it out a few nights this winter it is more than capable of taking you down to the 0 degree point. I remained toasty and warm well past freezing on a couple nights. Over stuff of the down is available for those venturing out in sub 0 temps. Very… Full review

Therm-a-Rest Slacker Super Snuggler

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Slacker Super Snuggler is an inexpensive, easy to use, robust, lightweight hammock underquilt that works well in above freezing temperatures. This hammock would be an excellent choice for new hangers due to its ease of use or for folks that are looking for a down alternative with similar performance. It doesn’t offer as much coverage as a full size, rectangular cut underquilt and offers a different style of coverage than a traditional three-quarter quilt. Overall I would recommend this quilt… Full review
