Minimalist in design but made with painstaking attention to detail, the Westcomb Men's Switch LT Jacket doesn't serve up a heap of worthless features; but rather, offers everything you need in a bomb-proof package that will see you through whether you're setting ice crews, putting in a skintrack, or making your way up a mixed route of rock and ice for a first ascent. Utilizing the 340 NRS 3-layer Polartec Neoshell with fully taped seams, the Switch will handle winter's worst, while still offering great breathability for high aerobic activities in cold conditions. Unlike traditional membranes, Polartec Neoshell breathes from the moment you put it on, so you don't have to wait for the tarp effect before the fabric decides to breathe. Exceeding industry standards in its construction, the Switch has twenty stitches per inch in the seams, so you don't have to worry about blowing out a seam when you're on some exposed face in a remote location. The unique design of the adjustable waist allows you to lock heat in by pulling on the cinch cord located with in the hand pockets, and quickly releasing it for a looser fit by pressing the one-handed release on the outside of the hem. YKK Aquaguard Vislon zippers prevent moisture from seeping through the most vulnerable points on the shell, while two underarm ventilation zips let you lose heat when you're really getting after it. The articulated sleeves are great for technical ascents, while the velour lined chin guard might give you something to smile about, so you aren't always mean muggin' when you're on the mountain.
