Yukon Trail Gaiter

rated 2.5 of 5 stars A solid gaiter, built with durable materials, still leaves much to offer as far as fit and feel compared with other brands. I was looking for a pair of gaiters for hunting in the snow and for snowshoeing this winter. I am sorry to say that I was unable to test fit these gaiters due to the way they were packaged.  I bought them because they are made of strong, waterproof material and thought they would serve me well while trekking through the snow or casual winter outdoor activity. When I brought… Full review

Carbon Lite Trekker

rated 5 of 5 stars Great lightweight trekking poles for a bargain price. This is a review of the Yukon Charlie's Carbon Lite Trekker poles. They are listed on Yukon Charlie's website for around $70, but you can get them at Costco.com for only $49.99 (if you are a member). I have no connection to either company. Yukon Charlie's was not a familiar name to me, but I ordered these poles and they have been great. I have put over 200 miles on them in the High Sierra and southeast Appalachians, including using them to support… Full review

Trail Series 825

rated 5 of 5 stars My first pair of snowshoes, but I do not see a reason to change. Easy on and easy off. They stay on while out enjoying the snow. I would definitely recommend them. I am 5'6" and 128 pounds. They are easy to size to your snow boot or hiking boot. I have used them a half a dozen times or so, in deep soft snow and on icy crunchy snow of the Pacific Northwest Cascade mountains. There are some signs of use, but no flaws in the gear.  Full review

6000 Series 825

rated 3 of 5 stars Great looking snowshoes, fit great, easy to use buckle system. These are the 6000 series 825 model. They look awesome. The strap/buckle system is GREAT! I have only used these shoes 1 time and the aluminum crampon on the bottom bent easily and I only stepped on hard ground a few times. The crampons should be built much more heavy than they are. The pivot bar bushings are not going to hold up well I don't think, they already show stress and I only have a little over 3 miles on them so far. The frame… Full review

Kodiak Series 930

rated 4 of 5 stars I have had two pairs of Yukon Charlie snowshoes for about 10 years. The first pair came without poles, the second pair came with twist lock poles that I don't use. I don't like twist lock poles.  I do use other ski poles. I like these snowshoes especially for the adjustment of the bindings. They have quick release buckles and adjustable nylon straps for a fine tune fit.  This is a very user friendly strap system. They are used about five times every winter. Conditions range from packed snow… Full review
