La Sportiva Fireblade Wins Runner’s World Best Debut
La Sportiva has announced that the Fireblade has won the Runner’s World Best Debut award for 2007 in the magazine's April shoe review. La Sportiva says the Fireblade defines the new wave of trail running shoes. It is lightweight, well cushioned, flexible, low to the ground and extremely stable. The Fireblade is equipped with an external molded heel counter for motion control and a stable ride. Low profile lugs offer lightweight traction for when the trail takes a down turn.
Hydrophobic heel and tongue foam allow for faster drying and the stretch mesh tongue guard keeps dirt, pebbles and trail debris outside. Multiple lace options and lace harness provides a secure and comfortable fit while the reflective webbing on lace loops offer nighttime safety. The triple-density midsole with TrailShock is for pronation control and stability so treading lightly isn’t an issue.
