Since SPOT announced its new and improved version 2 of its popular satellite messenger tracking device at Outdoor Retailer in July, we've been eagerly awaiting our promised review sample to test so we can update our SPOT gear test, "I’m Lost, Help Find Me."
However, today SPOT issued a voluntary recall of SPOT 2, saying some of the new devices might not meet battery and messaging operating specifications. Looks like we'll all have to wait a little longer.
