SealLine Blocker Compression Dry Sack

rated 5 of 5 stars This dry sack has become an integral part of our canoe camping equipment. Though we use it primarily for canoe camping, it has also proven worthy for winter cabin camping and car camping. This 30L size is large, but its compression feature allows us to pack an XXL sleeping bag into a compact size, reducing space demands in the canoe and/or kayak. This sack is lightweight, durable, waterproof, and is a bright orange, high visibility color. I can highly recommend this dry bag for campers, backpackers,… Full review

Osprey Airporter Small

rated 5 of 5 stars Protective cover for medium size rucksacks when travelling by air. Packs down to a compact size. Hiking rucksacks tend to have plenty of dangling straps that can get caught in airport luggage conveyor belts, risking damage if they are checked in as hold luggage. The Osprey Airporter is a protective cover that completely encases your rucksack, eliminating this problem. The Airporter packs into its own pocket, so you can keep it in your rucksack till it's time for your flight back home.  The Airporter… Full review

The North Face Rolling Thunder

rated 5 of 5 stars Terrific bag! Sturdy and tough. Nice product!! A great carry-on suitcase for air travel. Slim profile allows easy lifting to overhead bins. Three sturdy handles for lifting into trunk of auto! Wheels are smooth and sturdy. Collapsible handle works with one touch!  Full review

Outdoor Research Ultralight Compression Sack

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Does the job it was meant to do. I purchased the OR compression sack when I got a new sleeping bag  You can see why. It packs up small and leave it in with the bag 8lt pouch I’ve been using this one about 15x a year for about 10 years and it is showing no signs of wear.  Works very well. I have had cheaper models that seem to bulge at the sides (what’s the point?). That is not the case with the OR. The four straps allow you to evenly cinch down the contents to what my kids call a big jelly… Full review

The North Face Base Camp Duffel

rated 5 of 5 stars My size small base camp duffel is a favorite for short work trips and toting small amounts of extra gear to and from a trailhead. It is built to withstand harsh punishment, easy to carry, and easy to access the interior contents. Cost is the only negative. Available from carry-on size to trek-swallowing massive, the base camp duffel might be the most indestructible and comfortable way to get your stuff from one place to the other. Mine is a size small, and I use it primarily for air travel, national… Full review

Vasque Boot Box

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This box is perfect for folks looking for a corrugated fiber, rectangular paralellopiped, storage solution. Great at home, but really excels in the field. Light and somewhat squishable, yet solid enough to protect vital gear such as stoves and donuts. The Vasque Boot Box system is a simple, yet versatile and useful tool. By folding sheets of corrugated paper into a rectangular shape which includes a fold back lid, they have created a rectangular storage space they call a Box.  Capacity: With interior… Full review

SealLine BlockerLite Compression Dry Sack

rated 5 of 5 stars Dry bags (also called dry sacks if lightweight parts of packing system) are valued pieces of gear in our outdoor equipment arsenal. We use them primarily for canoe camping, but also for winter cabin camping and car camping. It is said “you can never have too many dry bags” when canoe camping, and since we follow that mantra, we always pack lots of them. My primary expectation is that such a bag will keep my gear dry in any conditions. This bag from SealLine certainly meets that challenge, and… Full review

Eagle Creek Pack-It Specter Cube Set

rated 4 of 5 stars Water and stain resistance packing cubes keep items separate in your pack or suitcase. Cube fabric is translucent which makes it easy to locate your gear. I have found these Eagle Creek Pack-It cubes to be a great addition to my backpacking and travel kits. The Pack-It Specter Cube set pairs one small cube with two medium cubes, one of which has a plastic folding board to give it structure. These 30D Ripstop Nylon cubes are water and stain resistant and feather-light, 1.3oz for the small and 1.8oz… Full review

Sea to Summit eVent Compression Dry Sack

rated 5 of 5 stars A necessary accessory for any down sleeping bag, combining water resistance with good compression. A bit heavyweight, but it’s definitely lighter than a pound of water inside your sleeping bag. Quite durable and very convenient to use. Fully compressed XS bag with 3-season sleeping bag inside (compared to 450ml Toaks mug) Before purchasing a pair of such bags in 2013 I traveled a lot with synthetic sleeping bag packed into a regular fabric compression sack. In bicycle trips sometimes we have to… Full review
