Black Diamond Mission 75
Where to Buy
Here's what other sites are saying:
Dedicated, durable and designed for alpine cragging, mixed ascents and cold-weather expeditions, the Black Diamond Mission pack is our toughest alpine pack. Providing a balanced carry thanks to its reACTIV hipbelt and SwingArm should straps, the Mission is also fully strippable, with a removable waistbelt, lid and framesheet. The ice tool PickPockets, front crampon pouch and a tuck-away rope strap secure gear to the outside, while the drawcord skirt provides a second defense against spindrift and light precip.
The durable, top-loading Black Diamond Mission 75 pack comfortably hauls your gear for everything from summer alpine cragging to winter expeditions.
The Mission 75 Backpack has your next great expedition on its mind. Whether it's high-altitude peaks and multi-week excursions, this bag handles big loads with ease because of Black Diamond's reACTIV XP suspension system. And not to worry, ladder-lock crampon straps secure your technical gear on the approach.
- Mountain Gear
Don't make the mistake of trying to slog through your next adventure with a bulky, heavy, or inadequate pack--it'll make you miserable before you can whine "I want to go home!" Black Diamond designed the top-loading Mission 75 Backpack to be a lightweight expedition-sized hauler for alpine assaults and extended backcountry trips so hauling those massive loads at altitude won't be such a painful experience. The Mission's reActiv XP suspension uses a floating hip belt and fixed shoulder straps to provide the ideal combination of flexibility and support, allowing you to cover more ground with less stress, which might seem wimpy but is essential when you're out for a long time and little niggles start to add up and make you miserable. A low-fat, streamlined design keeps the Mission light but, as you'd expect from Black Diamond, it has vertical DNA and it doesn't skimp on the necessary features. It comes replete with a PickPocket ice tool carrying system, crampon pouch, and three-point haul system so you can take your gear with you when steep trekking gets vertical during the final push. It's hydration-compatible so you don't end up dessicated like the arid regions you're moving through, and the padded hip-belt is removable. You can also remove the top of the pack and stow your rope in the tuck-away strap if you're looking to cut weight but keep your essential gear close by.
