Manufacturer's Description

Our UltraLite Alpini Shelter 200 is inspired by the elite Alpinis alpine troops of the Italian Alpine Corps, some of the best trained and best equipped mountain troops in the world.

The UltraLite Alpini Shelter is effectively a frameless tent - a fabric structure that provides highly effective protection from wind and rain, trapping and retaining the body heat from one or more people. By creating a warm local environment, the UltraLite Alpini Shelter provides protection from the threat of hypothermia and wind chill.

The UltraLite Alpini Shelter is used for lunch and rest stops, when pitching a tent would be time consuming and impractical. The UltraLite Alpini Shelter can be quickly and simply pulled overhead, to provide shelter from the wind, cold and rain while eating lunch or just taking a break.

The Brooks-Range UltraLite Alpini Shelter 200 is made with high tenacity ripstop nylon, giving this shelter greater tear and abrasion resistance, while keeping it light and compact. With two people inside, it warms up in less than 10 minutes. Condensation is kept a minimum due to both the breathable fabric and generously sized vents.

Here's what other sites are saying:

The Brooks-Range UltraLite Alpini Shelter is designed to allow you to take shelter from the storm when pitching a tent would take too much time. Just pull the ripstop nylon fabric over yourself, and be protected from the wind, snow, rain, and sleet in no time. The shelter warms up in just ten minutes, and the generously sized vents prevent condensation from building up.
