Make sure your ski socks are on tight, because the Dynastar Cham 107 Ski is liable to try and knock them off with its combo of power, precision, maneuverability, and float. Made to crush the steep, deep, and gnarly, the 107 is the most versatile ski in Dynastar's Cham line, built with a light wood core that's been laminated with fiberglass and laid up with a sheet of titanal to provide plenty of torsional stiffness and power when you're mobbing down wind-buffed faces, busting through chop, or rallying the groomers back to the lift. Traditional camber underfoot, vertical sidewalls, and a flat tail give you tons of edging power, and the extra-long tip rocker helps the ski float through the cold smoke and gobble up day-old leftovers like they're a five-course meal. The Cham 107 also features Dynastar's progressive five-point sidecut, which combines a tapered tip and tail with traditional sidecut underfoot to give you the best edging, smearing, and turning performance this side of a sports car. The tapered tip engages like a dream but won't hook up or get twitchy at speed, and the flat pintail provides strong turn finishing, helps you float through the deep, and lets you dump speed in a hurry when you find yourself heading for an unexpected air. With a sandwich construction and vertical sidewalls along the length of the ski, the Cham 107 has plenty of toughness, power, and durability, too, so you won't feel out of place ripping some hardpack to ribbons when it hasn't snowed in a few days. - Backcountry.com
