Here's what other sites are saying:
Instead of trying to reinvent the touring ski with the Cham Alti 85 Ski, Dynastar focused on refining the basic principles: making it lighter, more stable, and more versatile for long tours and ski mountaineering. The Alti 85 is the widest ski in the Alti line, making it perfect for those days when you're hoping alpine powder is on the menu, but it weighs in under six pounds so you'll be able to handle long approaches, big climbs, and steep bootpacks without feeling like gravity has a personal vendetta against you. The LightCore is made of Paulownia wood with a light fiberglass laminate to up the Alti's performance in hard snow, and the cap construction gives it a smooth and consistent flex while keeping the ounces to a minimum. You're never sure what sort of snow you'll run into up high, either, so the Alti has traditional camber underfoot for edge grip and confidence on those patches of neve and wind-affected snow, along with a tip rocker to help you plane and float through powder and cruise with confidence over rough, uneven snow. It also features Dynastar's Alti Skin Grip system, which makes it easy to center and hook up Dynastar skins, making those 3am alpine starts just a little bit easier.
The CHAM HM 97 features a lighter weight high-performance construction, delivering more nimble and accessible performance for all-mountain adventures or backcountry tours. Cham HM's award-winning combination of long tip rocker, 5-point sidecut, and a paulownia wood core delivers incredible power, maneuverability and float while offering a 25% weight reduction from the standard Cham construction.

The Dynastar Cham HM 97 telemark/randonee skis are built for breaking trail in deep powder and carving turns down technical terrain on alpine adventures. Lightweight paulownia wood cores are laminated to fiberglass for a flex that is perfect for backcountry skiing in everything from powder to hardpack. Tapering sidecut in the tips and tails and traditional sidecut underfoot combine to allow the skis to make quick, easy turns in deep snow and on groomed runs. Long rockered tips float through deep snow and crud; rockered tips allow good maneuverability and control in challenging snow conditions. Classic camber underfoot enables the skis to still perform well on hard snow. Narrow, flat tails help to enhance the flotation of the rockered tips and let the skis track straight in soft snow. Dynastar Cham HM 97 telemark/randonee skis have full-length vertical sidewalls that deliver good edge grip, power and balance. Base or topsheet color may vary from online photo.
