rated 4.5 of 5 stars Does exactly what I want and need for what I consider to be an essential hiking tool. Safe, reasonably light, durable, and sharp. For those who want a folding knife with a clip, look elsewhere. I consider a good knife to be one of the essential tools of the trade for hiking. There are lots of great options; this one is particularly useful.   Basic Information This knife weighs about 4 1/2 ounces, and the blade is about 3 1/2 inches long. It's a folding knife — the blade folds away when you don't… Full review

rated 3.5 of 5 stars It's small, slim so it takes up little space. Will fit on a knife sheath or in a pocket. Best of all, it works well. The DC4 is a great size, no hassle whet stone. Enter the Falllkniven NL5, also called the Idun. This is the smallest fixed blade in the Northern… Full review

Blade is under three inches long, made of VG-10 stainless steel, which is very hard and stays sharp for a long time. it takes a little longer to sharpen due to the hardness of the steel used for the blade. the handle is two pieces of stainless steel with narrow micarta scales attached by screws. Micarta is hard and basically impossible to break. i love that the back of the knife is open - it's tremendously… Full review
