Fabric: Front: Water-resistant, breathable soft-shell jacket; back: New Zealand Merino wool

Made from Ibex’s own PEAK Climawool, the Vim Hybrid Jacket is two jackets in one. The front part is a lightweight, water-resistant—yet breathable—soft-shell jacket and in the back, you have breathable New Zealand Merino wool that wicks sweat to keep you dry and comfortable. It is a form-fitting jacket but does so without compromising movement or comfort and still leaves room for adding a base layer underneath.
It is not overly-loud with pockets and useless frippery, delivering, instead, two nice sized pockets for warming hands and a zipper chest pocket for storing keys or the ubiquitous iPod. Adjustable Velcro tab closures on the sleeves lock out cold air.
It's also suited to a breadth of endless activities: climbing, mountaineering, snowshoeing, etc.
Here's what other sites are saying:
Ibex takes a fresh look at softshell technology with the Men's Vim Hybrid Jacket. The front of the Vim is a lightweight, highly breathable 4-way stretch polyester fabric. This woven fabric is soft to the touch and treated with a durable water repellent for all-weather versatility. The back of the Vim is made with odor-fighting, breathable merino wool for long, sweaty rides or quick, chilly commutes. Wear the Vim as an outer or mid layer.
