Here's what other sites are saying:

Like a medicine man for the not-so-deep days, the new Icelantic Shaman SKNY Ski will cure all your hardpack woes and still be magical on those unexpectedly soft days. The people were clamoring for a more frontside-oriented board from Icelantic, and since the company had such a good thing going with the original Shaman, it just performed a shrinking spell to make a board that'll be a perfect one-ski-quiver for Right Coast rippers and carve-loving frontside jockeys who like to venture off piste every now and then. The SKNY checks in with a tip, tail, and waist that are 20mm skinnier than its chubby brother's, leaving the relatively short and nimble turning radius unaffected but creating a ski that's far quicker edge to edge. It also keeps the same diamond-shape shovel, which combines with traditional camber to ease turn initiation and increase edge hold when you're laying the SKNY over as hard as you can (it also gives you enough float to keep things easy when the snow adds up). The core is made of light and snappy poplar that's laid down with two fiberglass laminates to keep things durable and torsionally stiff when you're putting tons of energy into the ski, and finished off with a sintered Durasurf 4001 base that's lightning-quick to help you squeeze the most fun out of every top-to-bottom lap. As a bonus, each SKNY weighs about two pounds less than the equivalent traditional Shaman, making them magically quick through the trees and easy to carry around.

The ultra-durable Never Summer construction of the Shaman's from Icelantic makes these aggressive powder skis smooth through their flex and nimble on their edges. Designed and handbuilt in Colorado at the Never Summer Industries factory, the torsional rigidity & attention to detail is almost as beautiful as the top sheet graphics. Traditional camber provides the stability and speed you need for big mountain riding.

- Mountain Gear

With its unique diamond shaped shovel and tapered tail design, The Shaman optimizes the skier?s center of gravity, allowing for an aggressive, powerful powder turn unlike anything you?ve ever experienced. The Shamans 160 mm tip rivals the biggest powder skis in floatation and stability, but don?t be fooled, this tool rips the groomers thanks to its aggressive sidecut and unrivaled torsional rigidity. This powder ski will leave trenches on the hard-pack. Seriously.
