New for 2005 are the Rox top-loader alpine packs by Indigo. The Cafe Pocket hydration system, which was introduced with the Rox 18 and 28, is now incorporated in our new line of alpine packs. The Cafe Pocket holds 2 liters of water and access is now on both sides of the pack. The Rox 40 and 60 also includes the new Envelope closure system, a new harness, shoulder straps and hip belts. To lighten the load, we are using a new 210D high tenacity nylon fabric, with great abrasion qualities. Specifications Rox 28 Alpine Pack: Weight: 2 lbs, 5 oz; 1.4 kg Capacity: 28 Liters, 1700 cubic inches Key Features: Lightweight, High Tenacity Nylon construction. YKK Waterproof exterior zippers. Right hand “Cafe” Pocket, one-handed access to 2 liters of water, food, a hat and shell. This pocket keeps its shape and gives quick access even when the pack is stuffed like a guy trying to wear his high school letter sweater to his 25th reunion. Left hand “Cafe” pocket is perfect for sunglasses, a couple of Powerbars and a headlamp. Plastic frame sheet with 18” aluminum stay. Dual density laminated shoulder straps with stretch woven fabric. 2” “Rig-it /Rip-it” straps. “Rig-it” as standard compression, “Rig-it” as accessory straps around the front, or “Rip-it” off for a clean no hang-up pack. The “Fast Back”, padded cool back panel, is made for moving and grooving. Climbing with the Rox 28 is fast food easy. Clipping into a belay, with 3 choices, top loop, front handle or both. Hauling, clip the top and front handle and pull. The “Hang Back” hauling angle protects the “Fast Back” back panel and lets the Rox slide past all the pack eating features a route has to offer. Inside wallet and key pocket. Removable 3” waist belt and rescue whistle sternum strap.
