Here's what other sites are saying:
A step up in both performance and sustainability, the women's Solution splitboard features a snow-repellent ECO-plastic topsheet made from castor beans that is light, durable and scratch-resistant.
Ideal for Backcountry Freeriding and Wilderness Exploration There's good reason why more splitboarders worldwide choose to ride the Solution than any other splitboard. The Solution is a true backcountry chariot whose time-tested shape and flex deliver equal performance to your solid freeride board. It's the identical split twin to the Flagship and is equally sought after because of features like the floaty Blunt Nose and the crud busting Directional Rocker Profile. Inner and outer edge mellow Magne-Traction locks in your edges while skinning or shredding and the Carbon Stringers bring the board to life adding playful snap and pop. NEW for 2015, the Solution is 300 grams lighter and torsionally stiffer thanks to a new topsheet and new ULTRA core. The Solution is also available in one new size - 166 cm. Profile Directional Rocker A hybrid rocker/camber flex pattern defined by more tip rocker then tail rocker and camber between the bindings. The rockered tip floats the board's nose and improves maneuverability while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response. A slightly rockered tail maintains the power and stability of a traditional board but helps keep the tail catch-free initiating turns and landing switch. "My experience is that most falls in freeriding start from the nose of the board - you either go over the bars in powder, the nose gets caught under a weird crust and tosses you, or you hit a hard tranny at the contact point of the tip and get bucked. Directional Rocker eliminates most of these falls." - Jeremy Jones
If you're looking to get into the backcountry to take mellow pow runs and carve lazy turns, this isn't what you want. However, if you use your split as dedicated equipment for accessing remote lines that require absolute focus and pinpoint precision, the Jones Carbon Solution Splitboard is arguably the highest performance split you can strap to your feet. It takes everything that's made the regular Solution a legend, and makes it more aggressive. The carbon fiber construction sheds weight, while increasing the stiffness and damping, turning this into a turbo-charged beast that devours the gnarliest lines you'll ever step to. The carbon fiber topsheet and carbon stringers keep the weight down, while providing a stiffer, damper, more responsive ride. The carbon fiber topsheet looks like it belongs in a race car, which would be a surprisingly accurate way to think of the Carbon Solution's handling. It's not designed to be forgiving-- instead, hold the throttle wide open and drive it like your life's on the line. Naturally, the weight reduction pays dividends on the skin track as well. Camber between the feet keeps the Solution planted at mach speed, and there's slightly more rocker in the nose than the tail, for unreal float, without sacrificing the ability to ride switch. Mellow Magne-Traction places bumps along the edge, for insane edgehold on windblown, exposed lines, while the blunted nose keeps swing weight down for quicker turns. Triple-density wood creates an ultralight and incredibly strong core, and the sintered base is extra-absorbent for long-lasting speed and tough for durability. Unlike traditional clips, the included Karakoram board clips actively pull both halves of the board together, which means less chatter and better response.
Backcountry conditions aren't always knee deep powder, so The Solution from Jones Snowboards uses Magne-traction edges to slice through crust and crud, as well as that sweet, sweet freshness. Directional rocker matched with camber underfoot offers a plush ride in all conditions. Go find a new line at your old mountain!
