Retailers' Descriptions

Here's what other sites are saying:

The irony is not lost on you that you're a big mountain man, yet you can't find a splitboard big enough to get you out into said mountains. Luckily the people at Jones realized that big guys want to be out in the backcountry too, so they made the Solution Splitboard Wide for riders with bigger boots to fill. With a floaty, directional CamRock profile and mellow Magne-Traction edges, this backcountry-tuned beast was built to keep you floating on top of the deep and in control through the crud. This year the geniuses at Jones managed to shave 300g off the weight of the Solution while making it torsionally stiffer thanks to a new topsheet and core. Camber between the feet keeps the Solution planted at mach speed, and there's slightly more rocker in the nose than the tail, for unreal float, without sacrificing the ability to ride switch. Quadrax glass keeps it stiff for stability at high speeds and carbon stringers add torsional stiffness for increased pop and response. Mellow Magne-Traction places bumps along the edge, for insane edgehold on windblown, exposed lines, while the blunted nose keeps swing weight down for quicker turns. Magne-Traction is also featured on the inside edges for reliable edge hold on sketchy skin tracks. Triple-density wood creates an ultralight and incredibly strong core, and the sintered base is extra-absorbent for long-lasting speed and tough for durability. Unlike traditional clips, the included Karakoram board clips actively pull both halves of the board together, which means less chatter and better response.
