"Anyone who claims kids are light because they're small is a lying swine. The Kelty Journey Kid Carrier acknowledges that if you had this much weight in a normal backpack it'd be considered a heavy load. Serious suspension with molded and padded everything and a dual-density waistbelt looks like it came off a serious expedition pack (it did). This particular heavy load likes to squirm though, so load lifter straps give your little one some comfortable suspension of her own, and toy loops provide back-up entertainment when the scenery isn't doing it. The Journey includes a removable kid pack so nothing gets left behind. The cockpit seat pad is removable and washable, not that we're implying junior isn't perfectly clean, but just in case."
