This no-nonsense top-loading pack for alpine climbing and backcountry touring has a comfortable, stable design and lots of room for technical toys. Thermo sculpted back system features venting channels that promote cooling and drying. Bi-laminate padded shoulder straps with a sternum strap and a padded waistbelt keep pack securely situated on your body. Loops on the padded waistbelt offer easily accessed storage for extra gear. When wearing pack with a seat harness, the padded waistbelt can be replaced by a low-profile webbing belt; webbing belt tucks away when not needed. Extendable lid features both external and internal pockets; spindrift collar keeps contents in and the weather out. Pack also has pockets for wands, tent poles or trekking poles; dual daisy chains; removable ice axe loops; attachment points to lash on bulky items. Internal pocket holds hydration reservoir (sold separately) for hands-free drinking on the trail. Lightweight framesheet stiffener enhances structure and support. Side compression system cinches down loads and improves stability; removable rope compressor. Ski carrying system uses Web Catcherâ„¢ buckles, while the Lightweight Load Lockerâ„¢ buckles secure poles to pack. Alloy buckles are light, strong and easy to use, even while wearing mittens. Constructed of 500-denier texturized nylon and 330-denier high abrasion resistant, lightweight honeycomb ripstop nylon.
