Recent Pack Duffel Reviews

Patagonia Black Hole Duffel

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This bag is water resistant and has a big capacity. It is a heavy duty bag and I would recommend. This bag is great for specific things, such as traveling or carrying equipment. It is too big for hiking though, but is a seriously good bag. Full review

Tepui Expedition Series Gear Bag

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Bomb proof fabric and excellent construction make this a great duffle for backpack travel protection or just hitting the road. A washable water resistant finish keeps the contents clean and the outside looking new. Tepui, the company that is best known for their wild cartop tents, also makes some very good expedition style duffles. I've had their duffle bag since January and have taken it on a couple of trips for testing. This is a large size duffle with interior space a bit over 3.5 square feet. Full review

High Sierra Wheeled Double Adjustable Ski Bag

rated 4 of 5 stars Convenient storage and transportation for your skis. Very easy to wheel and well padded for protection of you valuable equipment. Why carry skis bags when they can be rolled? High Sierra has made transporting two pairs of skis and poles much easier with its wheeled adjustable double ski bag. Constructed of 1680D Ballistic nylon, originally made for military use and paired with a robust set of wheels built for inline skates, this double ski bag is meant to satisfy even the most serious ski traveler. Eagle Creek Cargo Hauler Duffel 90L

rated 4 of 5 stars This 90-liter duffel with wheels can consume a ton of gear. Has handles if you would rather carry than wheel it. Pack straps allow it to be carried on your back. When getting ready for an airplane trip necessary for an adventure, there is always, "how am I going to transport all my gear safely?" We all would love to carry on all our outdoor gear for its own protection. Unfortunately, that isn't always possible. I found myself in that position early in September as I packed for the Tour of Mont Blanc… Full review

Patagonia Black Hole Duffel

rated 5 of 5 stars Patagonia's Black Hole Duffel line has 4 sizes, 45L, 60L, 90L and 120L. All are made from a durable water resistant fabric which can take a beating. I have the 60L size which is perfect for hauling around a ton of gear while still being carry-on size. Likes Size/Shape: The 60L duffel is just within carry-on size limits. With a little coaxing, I've gotten it to fit into even the smaller overhead compartments. For carrying gear on a plane, a duffel bag has advantages over a backpack in that it doesn't… Full review

The North Face Base Camp Duffel

rated 4.5 of 5 stars It's huge!! Excelent for an expedition or for travel anywhere without concern of dust, or an angry cargo man dropping it. Use it for packaging to EL CHALTEN.  Have two of them and they were enough for me and my wife trekking in Patagonia. We put our backpacks in them for safety. And there was also space to put our stuff (clothes, shoes, etc.) I love them. Full review

L.L.Bean Duffle Bag

rated 5 of 5 stars This bag is a great size for weekend trips and a perfect size for a carry-on. This duffle is made out of a great, strong material and is very dependable and reliable for any adventure. I have owned my L.L. Bean duffle bag for years and it has been the best travel I have ever used. It has been through a lot of stuffing and throwing around, but it has held up tough.  It is very reliable and dependable. Marmot Long Hauler

rated 5 of 5 stars Excellent quality in an attractive bag for a fair price! The heavy duty construction of this bag impressed me immediately. I wanted a duffel bag I could use for travel as well as camping and this bag didn't disappoint. It's seen airline abuse, many a camping trip and still looks brand new. It has several zippered pouches to help organize my gear and is large enough for two on camping trips. I would recommend this for any type of travel if you are like me and prefer a duffel to a suitcase. Full review

The North Face Base Camp Duffel

rated 5 of 5 stars This is a super durable bag that can stand up to some pretty rigorous outdoor activity. The Base Camp Duffel also looks casual enough to use just as a weekender bag for clothes and essentials for the road. Moosejaw hooked me up with a small Base Camp Duffel and it's actually even more awesome than I expected it to be. The straps that let you wear it backpack style are my favorite thing about the bag. why don't all duffels have a hands-free feature? The bag is super tough and even made it through… Full review
