NEMO Fillo Elite Ultralite

rated 3 of 5 stars Decent pillow at a competitive price. Not thick enough for me. After many years of backpacking with only a stuff sack for a pillow, I decided to pick up one for myself and my girlfriend. I went with the Nemo Fillo Elite. It's a good pillow that is holding up well so far, 11 nights in the field. It weighs in at 3 ounces on my scale and packs down small enough to basically be unnoticeable in a pack. I tested the pillow while at the store and it seemed like it would work well, as have many pieces of… Full review

Sea to Summit Aeros Premium Pillow

rated 5 of 5 stars A luxurious blow-up pillow with a brushed outer finish that is soft and smooth to the touch. The excellent 2-way valve makes getting just the right pressure very easy. Having had my 8-year-old pillow spring a seam leak on a July trip to the Trinity Alps I knew with a 16-day PCT section hike coming up in August it was time to go shopping. Popping down to my local REI to see what they had in stock, the Sea to Summit Aeros Premium Pillow jumped out at me immediately. I was taken by how much more sophisticated pillows… Full review

Cocoon Air-Core Ultralight

rated 4 of 5 stars Light, comfy, great! It's an air bladder inside, so it will never be perfect, and took getting a little used to. I had to play with the air pressure to get a sweet spot that didn't feel too baloony, or mushy, but when I got it, it's quite comfortable. The fabric feels good on the skin and it's easily washable. Don't sit on it or put a lot of weight on it, the bladder is not invincible, as I found out myself. I managed to open and repair it. The Cocoon Hyperlite is also great, but the fabric feel… Full review

Cocoon Hyperlite Pillow

rated 4 of 5 stars Pretty comfy, darned light, and packs tiny. I blew it up, but just opened it and re-glued the bladder, no worries. Full review

Klymit Pillow X Large

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Klymit Pillow X Large is based off the popular Pillow X, but is much more than just a larger version. The fabric is greatly improved and I prefer the valve position and function, as well. The X-baffle design works, as before, and the larger size increases comfort substantially. The Pillow X Large weighs just a little more than an ounce more than the Pillow X, but the improvements are worth the weight. What more is there to say about yet another inflatable pillow? Well, the Klymit Pillow X Large… Full review

Cocoon Sleeping Bag Hood Pillow

rated 4 of 5 stars This is a nice lightweight pillow that is comfortable to sleep on and fits nicely into the hood of your sleeping bag. While I have been focused on getting the base weight of my pack down as low as I can (currently it is at about 21 lbs) I am also older, retired, and want to be comfortable when I am backpacking on week long trips, so I am willing to pay a slight weight penalty and carry an inflatable mattress and pillow. For a pillow I considered just using a stuff sack filled with a jacket or fleece… Full review

Sea to Summit Aeros Premium Pillow

rated 3.5 of 5 stars Good product overall, pretty expensive but definitely gets the job done. This is a good quality product. The main selling point for me was how it packed into almost nothing, the size of a fist—very important for backpackers. The material is good quality and the area you put your head down on is soft. There are separate intake and release valves to let air in and out, so it is very easy to fill up. The only thing that it loses points on is price. It was around $44 at REI—much more than any pillow… Full review

NEMO Fillo

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Best inflatable camping pillow. Second to None. Your significant other will thank you when you wake up the next day and you got a Big Grin on your face. Then you will go out and buy another one because it was confiscated from you. It's small enough to even take backpacking. Your significant other will wonder why the Big Grin on your face the next morning. Then you will go out and buy another one because it was confiscated from you by her. (Nemo better pay me for this review.) It's small enough… Full review

Klymit Pillow X

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Finally, a legitimate replacement for my "bag-o-clothes." When on my back, the "X" in the middle cradles my head and holds it in place so my neck muscles don't have to. When on my side, my ear doesn't get crushed as the high spots support my head with my ear in the "X" in the middle and the pillow's just tall enough to keep my neck straight instead of bent up or down. While waiting for delivery, I kept wondering why I spent $18 on a pillow when my extra clothes in a stuff sack has always worked… Full review
