Princeton Tec designed its Apex Extreme Headlamp to survive in cold temperatures so you can climb, backpack, hike, or explore in extreme conditions with a dependable light source. One Maxbright LED and four Ultrabright LEDs give this headlamp 260 lumens that can shine your way as far as 393 feet, and for up to 200 hours (depending on the modes you use). These five lights offer five different modes (high and low with the Maxbright, and high, low, and flash with the Ultrabrights) to give you an ideal amount of light. You can stash eight batteries (included) in the separate storage compartment and drop it in your jacket to keep them warm when the temps really start to drop. An over-the-top headband keeps the lamp in place when you cycle over rocky terrain or take a whipper on your night climb.

Princeton Tec Apex Extreme Headlamp FEATURES of the Apex Extreme Headlamp by Princeton Tec 4 Ultrabright LEDs: The highest quality LED available, the Ultrabright LED is bright and efficient. The smooth, white, wide-beam light emitted by Ultrabright LEDs is ideal for close to mid-range tasks. Ultrabright LEDs are usually grouped together to offer a more powerful light source. Advances currently underway will continue to improve the efficiency and brightness of Ultrabright LEDs. Battery Power Meter: The battery power meter provides you with continuous feedback on the condition of the batteries, indicating high, medium or low battery life. This information allows you to make educated decisions about changing batteries or packing spare batteries. LED Optic Collimator: A collimator gathers all available light from an LED in the form of scattered rays and re-emits the light as parallel rays, making it more optically efficient than a standard reflector. Princeton Tec calibrates each collimator to the type of LED and application of each light. With proprietary optimized collimator / lens systems, Princeton Tec continues to advance LED technology. Multiple Beams: This beam pattern combines focused narrow and focused wide beams to allow for the most versatility. At close range, the focused wide beams simulate normal daylight conditions so you can take advantage of your peripheral vision. The focused narrow beams create a long-throw spotlight ideal for night hiking and search and rescue. Multiple Modes: Multiple settings on many of our products give you the flexibility to adjust your light's brightness and/or beam width to illuminate greater distances or to conserve battery power, depending on your needs. Regulated LED / Constant Brightness: Princeton Tec lights that feature regulated LEDs have a sophisticated regulating circuit that maintains initial brightness as long as the batteries have sufficient voltage. Traditional lights are very bright initially, but immediately begin to dim and continue to dim until the batteries are drained. Constant Brightness is a term used to describe products that have regulated LEDs. Waterproof - Level 1: Level 1 is assigned to lights that offer a degree of water protection equivalent to IPX4 in the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards. Lights rated at Level 1 are designed for water resistance to splashing and quick dunkings. If a light with a Level 1 rating is accidentally submerged for a longer period of time, the batteries should be removed and the cabinets should be carefully inspected for signs of battery leakage SPECIFICATIONS: Power: 130 Lumens Lamp: 4 Ultrabright LEDs, Maxbright LED Burn Time: 200 Hours Batteries: 8 AA Alkaline Weights: 416 Grams UL Rating Approved SPECIFICATIONS for 5 mm Blink Beam Setting: Burn Time: 40 Hours regulated Total Burn Time: 300 Hours Beam Length: 42 Meters Beam Pattern: Wide SPECIFICATIONS for 5 mm High Beam Setting: Burn Time: 17 Hours regulated Total Burn Time: 160 Hours Beam Length: 48 Meters Beam Pattern: Wide SPECIFICATIONS for 5 mm Low Beam Setting: Burn Time: 30 Hours regulated Total Burn Time: 200 Hours Beam Length: 22 Meters Beam Pattern: Wide SPECIFICATIONS for Maxbright High Beam Setting: Burn Time: 2.5 Hours regulated Total Burn Time: 100 Hours Beam Length: 110 Meters Beam Pattern: Wide SPECIFICATIONS for Maxbright Low Beam Setting: Burn Time: 22 Hours regulated Total Burn Time: 130 Hours Beam Length: 78 Meters Beam Pattern: Wide
